Jennifer Lopez has canceled the summer tour with which she was going to tour North America. It began on June 26 in Orlando and ended on August 17 in New York. It was called 'This Is Me… Live' and it presented the album 'This Is Me… Now', which has had a very discreet run through the charts, despite being accompanied by a film.
Live Nation representatives have said that the tour is being suspended “so that Jennifer can take time to be with her family.” The artist said: «I feel completely devastated for disappointing you. Please know that I would not do this if I did not feel it was absolutely necessary. I promise I will make it up to you and soon we will be together. I love you. Until next time”.
Variety already reported a few months ago that the tour was not going well in terms of ticket sales, and 7 concerts have already been suspended.
The album 'This Is Me' did not go beyond position 38 in the United States, nor position 55 in the United Kingdom, and was number 20 in Spain. In all markets the album lasted a single week on the charts, being one of the most notorious failures of 2024. Something very striking if we remember that the artist made the most viewed Super Bowl in history on YouTube just 4 years ago, in 2020 .
