Jay-Jay Johanson will be in Madrid to star in the meeting Meet The Artist inside the Rhizoma FestivalInterlazada International Film & Culture Festival.
It will be the Friday the 21st at 5:30 p.m.. In this session, this crooner electronic, this master of the melancholic song will reveal to us the secrets hidden behind his creative processes, which have made him a true reference in his musical field over three decades, since he became a revered artist thanks to “Whiskey” (96), a classic of European trip-hop.
Over the years, Jay-Jay has released a long list of albums, including “Fetish”, “Poison” and “Kings Cross”. To all this we can add the soundtrack of “The Confusion of Genres” and collaborations with artists such as The Knife, Robin Guthrie and Harry Goaz.
The meeting is part of the Rizoma Festival, Interlazada International Film & Culture Festival which will take place between November 18 and 25 in Madrid. It will be the thirteenth edition and will be held in spaces such as Cinemateca Madrid, Fnac Callao, Academia de Cine, Sala Equis, Cines Verdi Madrid, with the screening of a long list of films, documentaries, etc., by authors such as Jim Jarmusch, Miguel Ángel Blanca and a long etcetera.
It will be a unique opportunity to get to know his creative universe up close, with a tour of his career, anecdotes and a Final Q&A with the public. He will also be a jury for the Official Contemporary Surrealism Section of the Rizoma 2025 edition.
