Janelle Monáe is on tour, which has already taken her to Madrid, and she is having the time of her life. In one of her latest adventures, she has stayed at the Adlon Hotel in Berlin, the same one where Michael Jackson stayed in 2002 when he decided to show his baby through the window in one of the most infamous videos of his career. Monáe has had no better idea than to recreate that moment, but with a robot dog.
Although she herself has deleted the video from her social media, multiple screenshots of the clip can be found online. The video shows Monáe awkwardly holding her robotic dog on the same balcony that Michael held his son Blanket on.
The singer has taken care of every last detail, wearing a black wig and a red coat just as it happened in real life, as well as the audio of the crowd at the original moment in 2002. After the incident, Michael admitted that he had made a “terrible mistake.”
