James Prime dies, keyboardist and founding member of Deacon Blue

James Primewho was keyboardist and founding member of Deacon Bluehe has died at the age of sixty -four. The cause has been cancer.

Yesterday was the day that the social networks of the Scottish formation announced that James Prime, keyboardist and founding member of Deacon Blue, had died after a “brief fight with cancer.” Last week they reported that he was seriously ill and would go on intensive care, while communicating that they would continue with their current tour.

From what it seems, it has been a cancer that has spread very fast and that they did not expect to act so fast. Prime was one of Deacon Blue’s founders in 1985, in the city of Glasgow, with whom he achieved success with success singles such as “Dignity”, “Real Gone Kid” and others. The group was still active and published a few months ago “The Great Western Road”which will now continue to present on September.
