The only thing that those attending those concerts did not know is that the duo in front of them was not the original duo, but rather opportunists who, instead of presenting themselves as a tribute band, preferred to use the band’s name directly and simplify things.
The news has been revealed by Sam Murdock, an art director who works with the Canadians. He announced it in the Exclaim! “They are a fake version of the group and they are touring Russia with their costumes and all the scenery. And they keep labeling the band without saying that it is not the real band.”
Murdock was very surprised and added: “We are living in very strange times in which everyone is trying to make money from the group. Right now you can find around fifteen hundred fake t-shirts of the group on the Internet. We have managed to remove another seven hundred from sites like Tee Republic or Red Bubble, but after a short time they appear again.”
