The Hard Quartet is a sort of indie supergroup, if we may use the expression or concept, formed by Emmett Kelly (The Cairo Gang, The Double, Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy, Ty Segall…), Stephen Malkmus (Pavement, The Jicks, Straw Dogs…), Matt Sweeney (Chavez, Superwolf, Cat Power, Current 93...) and Jim White (Dirty Three, Xylouris White, Bill Callahan…)

On the other hand, they have just released a new single, “Rio’s Song”, which you can now listen to on platforms and which is accompanied by a video clip directed by Jared SherbertIn the clip we meet artists, musicians, activists, skaters and local icons from New York City who are known and loved by the members of the group.
As for live performances, three concerts have been announced so far in New York, Los Angeles and London, although they will tour extensively over the next year.
