In-Editthe Musical Documentary Film Festival has just announced a program for this year of more than seventy documentaries. And much attention because, as usual, there are many jewels that you cannot miss.
The Festival, which will take place in Barcelona of the October 23 to November 2, It will have the projection of seventy -one documentaries, sixty -one of which will be world, European, state or Catalan premieres. There will be a total of one hundred fifteen projections that will be distributed over eleven days.
The inauguration will be held on Thursday, October 23 with the projection of the hopeful “Spinal Tap II: The End Continue”sequel to one of the most important mockumenties in history, and the closure will take place on Saturday, November 1 with the projection of “We want the funk!” and awards ceremony.
This year, In-Edit will bring great stories around bands and artists such as Depeche Mode, Spinal Tap, Boy George, Pauline Black, Meredith Monk, Jeff Buckley, John Lennon, Yoko Ono, Allee Willis, Jude Sil, Hermeto Pascoal, Fugazi, Ol ‘Dirty Bastard, Farruquito, Antonio Flores, Kinan Azmeh, Gustavo Dudamel, Suzanne Ciani, Sex Victòria dels àngels, Tete Montoliu or Mikel Erentxunamong many others. That is, once again we will find all kinds of stories, artists, styles and visual proposals.
The contest claims this year as its DNA as a film festival with daily premieres, and the presence of guests practically every night of the festival. It will have more than fifty guests. Among the protagonists stand out Carl Craig, Alba Flores, Leiva, Harley Flanagan, Víctor Manuel, Joan Dausà, the gypsy of Balaguer and Marala. As for directors and film directors, the presence of Isaki Lacuesta, Elena Molina, María Valverde, Jean- Cosme Delaloye, Sam Pollard, Frank Scheffer, Wes Orski, Ron Chapman, Hugo de la Riva, Joel Zito, Anuska Ariztimuño, Pol Fuentes, Mario Forniés, Lucas Nolla, Santi Aguado, Reuben Atlas, Anna Solana, Jero Rodríguez and Oriol Collamong others.
The music this year will have more prominence, with Warm Ups prior to some sessions with DJ sets of artists such as Ángel Molina or DJ2D2. The online headquarters of the festival will take place from November 17 to December 1 in CaixaForum+, with a selection of fifteen titles. The IN-EDIT festival begins a new stage with the co-direction of Astrid Rousse and Toni L. Querol.
