The National Court has sentenced Imanol Arias to two years and two months in prison after recognizing five tax crimes, within the framework of the Nummaria case. The actor has reached an agreement with the Prosecutor’s Office, which has allowed to reduce his conviction.
For its part, Ana Duato has been acquitted, since the court has not found evidence that he knew he was breaking his tax obligations. According to the sentence, it has not been accredited to act with knowledge or intention to defraud.
The main conviction has been Fernando Peña, fiscal and accounting advisor, considered the brain of the framework. He has received a penalty of up to 80 years in jail for leading a structure that, since at least 2016, systematically sought taxes in Spain through complex networks and opaque societies.
