The Timberland brand, born in New England (United States), has recovered various historical photographs from its history to bring together some great, truly referential characters from the world of rock, pop and rap, but also from sports.
Celebrating diversity, communities and voices with their own personality, the campaign brings together content starring names such as the pioneer of modern rap and founder of Wu-Tang Clan RZA, the great references The Notorious B.I.G.(in the world of rap) and Ozzy Osbourne (in the world of hard rock), the young electronic artist Yaejithe professional skateboarder Tyshawn Jonesthe Olympic champion Sha’Carri Richardsonthe creative Garance Valley and many more, some of them already deceased, hence the special value of the campaign.
Conceived as a visual and verbal dictionary, the campaign combines archival and contemporary content, including clever consumer-created memes. Each entry reflects the stories, values and cultural references that continue to define Timberland’s unmistakable presence around the world. Each letter is a story and each story, a piece of his legacy.
“The A to Z of Timberland” is a visual dictionary that literally wrote itself; a reflection of the communities past and present that have embraced our brand and shaped it into what it is today,” said Maisie Willoughby, Timberland Chief Marketing Officer.
You can see various photographs of the campaign on the brand’s website and also some videos like the one below these lines.
