Ice Spice announces debut album with Megan-style cover

Ice Spice has revealed on social media that his first album is titled 'Y2K' and will be available on July 26. Although we still don't have a definitive tracklist, we have been able to take a look at the cover, which shares the ornate style of Megan Thee Stallion's next album, 'MEGAN'.

The singles 'Gimmie A Light' and 'Think U The Shit (Fart)' would be practically confirmed to be part of the track list, unless the New Yorker has decided to release a debut album of unreleased songs a la Nathy Peluso. As for the cover, it is made and photographed by the renowned David LaChapelle, known for having worked with half of the music industry.

LaChapelle is also responsible for the much-discussed cover of Megan's album, in which she appears emerging from a chrysalis among a lot of CGI, and which was not very well received by fans. The cover of 'Y2K' has suffered the same fate.

In it, Ice Spice appears posing on a wall next to a New York subway mouth, but most of the elements feel too unreal. “These new covers are horrible” or “this is not serious”, you can read among the comments.
