The Hidrogenesse electronic band has published the original soundtrack of “Daniela Forever”the new feature film of director Nacho Vigalondo, already available on digital platforms. In addition, a special vinyl edition can be reserved.
The album, loaded with emotional electronic music, accompanies the psychological journey of the protagonist, Nicolás, from duel and confusion to euphoria and illusion. Inspired by French impressionist music and mixed with dance rhythms, the album creates an ambiguous and enveloping sound landscape.
According to the duo: «In the movie everything happens in Nicolás’ minds, and the protagonists are their desires, their fears, their jealousy and their euphorias. That is why we have inspired ourselves in French impressionist music, mixing it with dance rhythms. As if Wendy Carlos had been working in an electronic version of the most intimate French music, from Fauré to Poulenc through Debussy or Satie. We have based almost all the issues on coupling and confusing two chords at the same time, one major and one minor, creating an ambiguous effect that can lead to something crazy or something melancholic ».
The song “Daniela Forever” stands out, a central theme that evolves emotionally throughout the album, and a new version of “Escort La Tempesta”, sung by actress Beatrice Grannò, who sounds in the final credits.
