The list of new albums reflects some of the most notable releases of the last week, but none of them, curiously, has managed to move more numbers than an old album: ‘Tres Creus’ by rapper HOKE, which after its reissue on vinyl once again registers an entry at number 6 on the Spanish album chart, placing it at number 1 on the sublist dedicated to the LP format.
This means that HOKE sells more in Spain with an old album than RAYE and Ye with their latest releases. Of course, they are not far behind: ‘THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE’ by RAYE follows directly in number 6, and ‘Bully’ by Ye in number 7.
To no one’s surprise, RAYE’s album triumphs, above all, in the United Kingdom and Ye’s, above all, in the United States. ‘THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE’ is number 1 on the British chart, while ye remains at number 3. In the United States, the story is different: ‘Bully’ enters the top 2, without being able to surpass BTS, and RAYE’s album remains at a not inconsiderable 11th place.
Returning to the Spanish list, another artist with a huge fandom places her album ‘HADES’ at number 12: we are talking, of course, about Melanie Martinez, who places ‘HADES’ at number 3 in the United States and at number 5 in the United Kingdom. ‘HADES’ gives its worst data in Spain to Martinez, who had managed to place ‘Cry Baby’ at 6 or ‘Portals’ at 8.
Other notable releases present on the charts are those of two beloved Swedish pop stars. Loreen, with ‘Wildfire’, debuts at number 70, improving Robyn’s figure with ‘Sexistial’, which is at number 72. In addition, Flea places ‘Honorea’ at number 83. In reality, Granada-based reggaeton artist CAMIN surpasses them all, placing his album ‘Modo Leyenda’ at number 30.
Finally, we have to mention two vinyl reissues that appear on the album list: on the one hand, ‘Queen II’ by Queen is at number 23, while ‘Confessions on a Dancefloor’ by Madonna is at number 85.
