Hiriko Soinuak and Bunker fill Barakaldo with music

Hiriko Soinuak and Bunker They return this weekend to Barakaldo with two days of music, culture and emotions.

The Herriko Plaza in Barakaldo will once again become, for the seventh consecutive year, the epicenter of music with a new edition of the Hiriko Soinuak free festivalwhich will be held on October 24 and 25. As is tradition, the event will bring together four consolidated bands from the state scene along with the four winning projects of the Hiriko Soinuak 2025 contest, whose names were announced after the final on September 27 in San Bizente park.

Veterans will be on stage Repeat offendersreferences of punk rock in Spanish; the madrileños Biznagaone of the most powerful bands of the new punk generation; the Galician duo Bullet and the Barcelona quartet Sandré. They will be joined by the winners of the local contest: Monday Potions (main prize), Nightwaves (best artist in Barakaldo), Jonsor (BBK-Equality award) and Laztana Laztana (best artist in Basque), selected from dozens of proposals in this initiative promoted by the Barakaldo City Council.

In parallel, the same square will host the third edition of Bunkerthe fair dedicated to records, books, collectibles, talks and concerts around music and emotions. This event, also promoted by the City Council, consolidates its space as a meeting point between music lovers, artists and the curious. Bunker 2025 will have a large area of ​​stands with stores and publishers such as Long Play, Chicxs de la calle, Meatzalde Beats, Munsterama, Re-Loop Shop, Vinylora, Katakrak and Mano del Friki, which will offer records, clothing, books and popular culture objects. In addition, a varied program of talks, presentations and small-format concerts will be held.

Among the notable activities, the musician Fernando Alfaro present his novel “Muddy world”while the journalist Javier Corral “Jerry” will do it with “Fiesta and Rebellion. Oral history of Basque radical rock”. There will also be conversations with Repeat offenders, Biznaga, Bala and Sandrémoderated by Iker Bárbara (responsible for Zarata, the edition of MondoSonoro in Euskadi, Navarra and La Rioja), before their concerts at Hiriko Soinuak.

The program is completed with acoustic performances by Gonzalo Portugal (Last Fair Deal) and Gaizka Insunza (Audience), whose concert will also serve as a tribute to the recently deceased Jon Gondraformer coordinator of Bunker and Hiriko Soinuak. Likewise, an art-therapy workshop directed by Paule Bilbao will be held for the students of the Bituritxa Institute.

Two days of music, conversation and popular culture that reinforce Barakaldo as one of the great musical meeting points of the fall.
