The Bilbao festival Bilbao BBK Live Take the leap this coming Saturday, June 6 to Zorrotza with the eighth edition of Hirian and the next day Kobetamendi with Mendian.
After the celebration of Herrian in Durango last weekend (chronicle here)Bilbao BBK Live continues to celebrate its 20th anniversary this week with two free proposals that expand the programming beyond the official days of the festival. On the one hand it will return Hirianthe initiative that brings music to different neighborhoods of Bilbao every year, and on the other will debut mendiana new daytime event in Kobetamendi designed especially for this commemorative edition.
It will arrive at Zorrotza Hirian where four stages distributed between the square next to the train station, the fronton, the Parque del Ferial and the Cancha de Zorroza will bring together about twenty artists. The poster will combine very diverse proposals, from the bright pop of Da Silva Collective to the irreverence of Samantha Hudsonpassing through the festive nature of owlsthe ska of Juantxo Skalari & La Rude Bandthe sensitivity of Marwan or indie classics Australian Blonde. They will also act Laaza, Suzete, Faenna, No Quiero, Xavibo, Dav’ Kingston and Betto Snayamong others. The programming will also include a space dedicated to DJ sessions with names like Inés Hernand, Daniless, Bihotza and Amaia Yaniz.
The next day, June 7, the festival will premiere mendiana new free and family-friendly proposal that will move the activity to Kobetamendi between 12:00 and 9:30 p.m. The day will start with Kobetamendi Irteera, an invitation to explore the natural environment before giving way to the programming distributed in three stages: “Zaborra”, focused on musical projects created from recycled materials and reused objects. There will participate the Cateura Recycled Orchestraa Paraguayan formation known for making instruments with waste, along with other international proposals such as Fungistanbul, Trashbeatz and The Wackids; The “Komedia” space will be dedicated to humor with performances by Grison, Rachel Molina and Valeria Roswhile “Orkestra” will bring classical music to the mountains with the help of Suakai Philharmonicwhich will offer an interactive symphonic show designed for all audiences.
Attendees will be able to get tickets for Bilbao BBK Live at a special price in Zorrotza on June 6 and in Kobetamendi on June 7. In Zorrotza they will be available at Bar Jberria, Camino de Zorrozgoiti, 15; And during the Mendian day, ticket sales will also be available at Kobetamendi.
