Hinds do “Boom Boom Back” with Beck

Hinds announce their new album, the successor to 'The Prettiest Curse' (2020) and their first as a duo. It will be called 'Viva Hinds' and will be out on September 6.

If we had already heard the first single, the excellent 'Coffee', today the second is also released, and it comes with a surprise: neither more nor less than a collaboration with Beck. The producer sings backing vocals on this new song called 'Boom Boom Back' and it is the first one they wrote after the departure of Ade and Amber. The Sonido Muchacho press release details that Hinds “met Beck by chance at a film screening in Los Angeles.”

Another guest we find on the album will be Grian Chatten, the leader of Fontaines DC, as the tracklist reveals:

01 Hi, How Are You
02 The Bed, the Room, the Rain and You
03 Boom Boom Back (ft. Beck)
04 Stranger (ft. Grian Chatten)
05 Superstar
06 Bad View
07 On My Own
08 Coffee
09 In Shape
10 Bon Voyage

In the video for 'Boom Boom Back' Beck does not appear, we only hear him, but we do see Carlotta Cosials and Ana Perrote having a good time in what seems like a tribute to American road movies, or a reminder of their long tours through Anglo-Saxon territories . In fact, they already provide more than twenty tour dates, with only two stops in Spain: one in Barcelona and another in Madrid's Tomavistas.
