‘Handlebars’, with Dua Lipa, is the best of Jennie’s album

Jennie has launched today ‘Ruby’, his debut album. The result is a versatile pop album that is already among the most solid of the year. So much that the new song with Dua Lipa has not even come out as single, despite being one of the best songs of the project.

‘Ruby’ begins with a beautiful intro in charge of the multinstrumentalist FKJ and passes directly to one of the great Bangers of the album, ‘Like Jennie’. ‘Handlebars’ has nothing to do with a firecracker like this or like ‘extral’, which did come out as single. Instead, commitment to a melodic duet between the two artists who, although he has nothing new in his instrumental section, is one of the most instantaneous issues of the project.

Definitely, it works better than collaboration with Kali Uchis and Childish Gambino, who is not so focused and can be a somniferous tad. The Blackpink and Dua member do not stop exchanging phrases in the verses before joining in a gold chorus: “I stumble and fall in love / like a Blerachera Tuesday / I always go with everything.”

The secret is in the dough. ‘Handlebars’ is co -written by Amy Allen, collaborator of artists such as Sabrina Carpenter or Harry Styles, and James Ghalleb, who has worked with Troye Sivan or Maroon 5. Rob bezel, winner of 4 Grammys for her work with SZA, intervenes both in the composition and in production.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6M97N7FA3C
