Gwen Stefani has announced the release of her fifth album, ‘Bouquet’. It will be available on November 15th, but we can already listen to the first preview, ‘Somebody Else’s’, as of today, Friday. It is a pop-rock song with a certain country touch on some slide guitar (the cover could be the most country thing of this whole era).
In fact, the electric guitar in rock mode predominates in this song, even having its own space in the form of a solo. Bruce Springsteen could be a reference. It is hard to believe that his melody – as correct as it is friendly and anodyne – can pick up the crumbs of the country fashion that is flooding the charts in the United States, but it seems to be its objective. Will it work?
‘Bouquet’ is Gwen Stefani’s first album in 7 years, after the Christmas-themed ‘You Make It Feel Like Christmas’. The album will consist of 10 songs, one of which is with her husband, Blake Shelton.
On the cover, the No Doubt singer is seen holding a white rose while wearing a smart plaid suit and cowboy hat.
