Guy Picciotto (Fugazi) records vocals for the first time in twenty-five years

Guy Picciotto (Fugazi) records vocals for the first time in twenty-five years. He does it in a collaboration for the band Evil Islandspecifically in their new single “T-Hexx”.

Guy Picciotto – in the photo on the left – who was guitarist and vocalist for Fugazi, and previously for bands like Rites Of Spring or Happy Go Lickyis one of the most emblematic artists of American hardcore and post-hardcore. After Fugazi ceased their activity, Picciotto has dedicated himself to producing bands like Gossip, Blonde Redhead or The Blood Brothersand was a collaborator of Jim Whithey of the ill-fated Vic Chesnutt.

But the musician had not returned to singing with prominence until his friends from Evil Island –formation in which we find three components of The Blood Brothersto one of…And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead and another of glassjawthat is, a full-fledged alternative supergroup – have invited him to sing on the single “T-Hexx”, which you can now listen to below these lines.

Although this news is a bit unfair, giving all the prominence to Picciotto, since the Evil Island album that has just been released, “Terraform: The Afterlife”, is very interesting and also has other luxury guests such as Lis Di Angelo (Filth Is Eternal), Kaila “KT” Thompson (Upchuck), Alexis Krauss (Sleigh Bells), Michael Gatto (XCOMM) and Jordan Blilie (former bandmate in The Blood Brothers).
