The Javis have revealed the first details of ‘The black ball’, their next film, which opens in 2026 in Movistar+. ‘The black ball’, based on an unfinished text by Lorca, will tell the story of “three different men in 1932, 1937 and 2017” and will be a “queer claim of a part of the history of our country.”
Penelope Cruz will be part of the cast, as well as Lola Dueñas. They are, for the moment, the two actresses – femenins – confirmed in the film.
As for the actors, there are surprises. Guitarricadelafuente is among the confirmed performers, as well as Miguel Bernardeau and Carlos González. Although the Javis have not given more details of ‘the black ball’, it follows that they will embody the three protagonists of the film.
Guitarricadelafuente, aka by the Valencian musician Álvaro Lafuente, has just published his second album, ‘Spanish Leather’. For his part, Miguel Bernardeau is known for his role in ‘Elite’ and Carlos González for being one of the two protagonists of ‘Lost Maricón’.
‘The black ball’ will be the next work of Los Javis after ‘La Callo’, ‘Paquita Salas’, ‘Veneno’ and ‘The Messiah’.
