Gray Merina invite Gorka Urbizu to his “Tesla Bat Sutan”

Gray Merina They have invited to Gorka Urbizu –Who is one of the group’s referents since the time of Berri Txarrak– To accompany them in their single “Tesla Bat Sutan” (“A tesla en llamas”).

Gray Merina have not stopped growing since their beginnings and especially after the impact of their second album, “Zulo”. But the machinery continues with a new single “Tesla Bat Sutan”, a song in which they accompany them neither more nor less than Gorka Urbizu. The result in a creative encounter that works perfectly, joining two generations who have fought to maintain a message in their songs in front of a voracious capitalist world that has us tied.

According to the press release, the letter of “Tesla Bat Sutan” intertwined “images of emotional vacuum, insensitivity and loneliness with direct winks to Berri Txarrak. More than twenty years after writing ‘free’ (included in his homonymous album of 2003), the letter of Urbizu in which he sang ‘Zuen Kaiola Erraldoietan dena Eros Daiteke’ Everything can be bought ”) makes more sense than ever, and the new single of the band is a small tribute to the most radical albums of the Basque trio. For gray merina, working next to him is not just a musical gesture: it is the materialization of a teenage dream, the crossing with a voice that has crossed generations and that now finds a common territory in the violent pop of the trio.

Hence they have used “Tesla” in the title, “emblem of technological progress that actually draws a dark tomorrow, uncertain, and perhaps terminal.”
