Gossip return after 11 years with the adorable ‘Crazy Again’

Gossip, the iconic band led by Beth Ditto, returns after 11 years with a new single and new album. ‘Real Power’ will be out in March and the first preview is now available.

‘Crazy Again’, which opens today’s new playlist, is a gentle indie-pop production in which Ditto takes on the role of a deeply romantic person. “You know how I am, I’ll surely go crazy for you” is the adorable chorus of the song.

‘Crazy Again’ is the first preview of an album that Gossip has recorded with the help of producer Rick Rubin. Gossip already worked with Rubin on the album ‘Music for Men’ released in 2009. ‘A Joyful Noise’, their last studio album, was released in 2012.

Gossip became known back in 2006 with the release of their album ‘Standing in the Way of Control’, whose main single, the one that gave the album its title, had a great impact, especially on the British charts, where it reached the top 10 in 2006. and 2007.

Gossip, who had already released two albums before breaking through with the third, ‘That’s Not What I Heard’ (2001) and ‘Movement’ (2003), took a firm step towards pop in their following works, ‘Music for Men’, which gave Gossip the biggest hit of his career, ‘Heavy Cross’; and, above all, ‘A Joyful Noise’, an album co-produced by Xenomania (Girls Aloud) that produced Gossip’s last big hit, ‘Move in the Right Direction’.

Solo, Beth Ditto has released two projects, an ‘EP’ in 2011, and the full-length album ‘Fake Sugar’ in 2017.
