The Navarrese musician Gorka Urbizu publishes the first part of a new EP with two songs, as well as the video clip for one of them, “Herri Txiki”. Both songs move in the coordinates of his first solo album, published last year.
On social networks, the former Berri Txarrak has posted this text about it: “Some studies say that today is the saddest day of the year. And in order not to lose good habits, I didn’t want to leave you alone. I bring you a blue EP this Blue Monday, now available on all platforms. This is a small gift to all the people who are coming to the tour concerts. By the way, I will soon tell you the plans for 2025, so stay tuned.
“Bakan (I)” It consists of two songs, “Herri Txiki” and “Etorkizuna Ginenean” – in which he appears as a guest Gorka Leihotikan–, both already performed in some of Urbizu’s live shows on his recent tour. “Bakan (I)”which means “uncommon or singular,” will also be released in physical format, specifically on a limited edition seven-inch vinyl that will be available in March. Now, you can do the pre-order in this same link.
On the other hand, the video clip for “Herri Txiki”, made from images recorded at a performance at the Teatre de Ca l’Eril, is now also available on platforms. Hence the audio recording is from there and the band is made up of Urbizu (guitar and vocals), Jordi Matas (bass) and Joan Pons (drums). Matas is in charge of both production and mixing together with Pons. while the mastering was carried out in the Elysian Masters from Los Angeles (United States) by the hand of Dave Cooley.
