Gorillaz premiere “The Manifesto” with Trueno and Proof

Gorillaz They continue to advance songs from what will be their next work, “The Mountain”. In this case it is “The Manifesto”, a piece in which they have Thunder and proof, and that you can now listen to on platforms.

Thunder and Damon Albarn They have known each other for a long time, hence Gorillaz have counted on the Argentine rapper Thunder. And not only that, but both he and the Americans Sparks will be special guests on the British group’s next tour as what will be their biggest concert to date, at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (London) on Saturday June 20, 2026. The tour will kick off on March 20 in Manchester and is already sold out in several cities.

“The Manifesto” is the second song that we can hear from the album and it features, as we said, the collaboration of Trueno, but also the participation of proofdeceased rapper member of the collective D12 from Detroit and close friend of Eminem.

But Trueno and Proof will not be the only collaborators on this album, the list is really extensive. We will meet Ajay Prasanna, Amaan & Ayaan Ali Bangash, Anoushka Shankar, Asha Bhosle, Asha Puthli, Bizarrap, Black Thought, Gruff Rhys, IDLES, Jalen Ngonda, Johnny Marr, Kara Jackson, Omar Souleyman, Paul Simonon, Sparks –whose collaboration we already highlighted weeks ago– and Yasiin Bey; as well as the voices of friends and collaborators who have already disappeared, such as Bobby Womack, Dennis Hopper, Mark E Smith or Tony Allenamong others.

The album has been produced by Gorillaz next to James Ford, Samuel Egglenton and Remi Kabaka Jr.in addition to Bizarre. Recordings took place at the legendary Studio 13 in London and Devon, as well as in various locations in India – including Mumbai, New Delhi, Rajasthan and Varanasi – as well as Ashgabat, Damascus, Los Angeles, Miami and New York. The album brings together performances in five languages: Arabic, English, Hindi, Spanish and Yoruba.
