Geese review “Getting Killed” on From The Basement

The American band Geese posted a few months ago “Getting Killed” (Partisan/(PIAS), 25), without a doubt one of the great albums of this year. Now they perform songs from the album in a session for From The Basement.

The truth is that the From The Basement sessions have given us great live moments. Over the last few years we have been able to see artists such as The White Stripes, Radiohead, Albert Hammond Jr., Beck, Jarvis Cocker, Sonic Youth, PJ Harvey, Red Hot Chill Peppers, Feist, Thundercat, José González, Fleet Foxes, The Raconteurs, Band of Horses, Queens of the Stone Age and many more, always performing strictly live and without retouching.

Now the protagonists are the Americans Geese, who published their new full-length a few months ago, “Getting Killed”one of the great jobs that 2025 leaves us with, which is close to coming to an end.

The group has gone through this series of filmed concerts to perform no less than seven of the eleven songs on the album, namely: “Trinidad”, “Husbands”, “Islands Of Men”, “Half Real”, “100 Horses”, “Au Pays du Cocaine” and “Bow Down”. Take a look because the result is well worth it.
