Future Islands celebrate twenty years with “From a Hole in the Floor to a Fountain of Youth”

“From a Hole in the Floor to a Fountain of Youth” It will be the new album from the Americans Future Islands and will compile some of the most striking songs that the band has signed during these two decades.

“From a Hole in the Floor to a Fountain of Youth” will see the light May 22but as a preview the band has shared two songs, “Sail” and “Find Love”.

Far from opting for a traditional compilation with their greatest hits, the quartet has presented a very special collection. Featuring rarities, fan favorite songs and alternative tracks. With a large part of the material that had never been available on streaming platforms.

The album, conceived as a double album, will include twenty songs, one for each year of the career. Four sides of vinyl to reflect the different stages of a band that has gone from being an emerging promise to being a benchmark of global indie and synth pop.

The idea for the project comes from the bassist William Cashionwho also gives meaning to the title. As he explains, the metaphor connects everyday life with the magic of achieving dreams. With this release, Future Islands reclaim their artistic depth. Beyond its viral impact, the group demonstrates a sensitivity based on subtlety and emotion.

“From a Hole in the Floor to a Fountain of Youth” will be available in digital format, CD and double vinyl in color, consolidating a journey that celebrates both its past and its constant evolution.
