From Rosalia to ‘Bikini’, Nick León makes one of the summer songs

Nick León is a Florida producer who became known in 2022 with the launch of his single ‘Xtasis’ and with his participation in the production of ‘Motomami’ (2022) of Rosalía, specifically in the ‘devil’ cut. His music merges electronic with Afro -Caribbean rhythms under the umbrella of Latin Club, which brings an introspective turn.

The warm, humid and tropical atmospheres of Miami, as well as the urban sounds of the city, inspire the music of Nick León and form the nucleus of their first album, ‘A Tropical Entropy’, published this year. It is the album of the week.

‘A Tropical Entropy’ is an exercise of renewal of Latin rhythms such as Dembow, reggaeton or champeta. His productions, elegant and avant -garde, such as those of ‘Ghost Orchid’ with Ela Minus or ‘Broward Boyy’, definitely point to the future of pop. Also his most popular single, ‘Bikini’, today’s song.

‘Bikini’ is a collaboration with the Danish singer Erika de Casier, well known to R&B singles as ‘Little bit’ and for having composed some of the greatest successes of the extinct South Korean band Newjaans. ‘Bikini’ is one of those alternative summer songs that everyone should hear, a delight Dembow as you had never heard.

“I will be on the beach, dreaming about Casier sings in ‘Bikini’, and this futuristic Dembow production invites that: dream. ‘Bikini’ condenses all the virtues of ‘Tropical Entropy’ in a slender sound that transmits the warmth and moisture of Miami, a city that Camila Cabello also celebrated on its latest album, but that acquires a particularly magical tapestry here.
