The Cure have announced the arrival of ‘Mixes of A Lost World’, a new remix album composed of 24 new versions of the group’s last album songs, ‘Song of a Lost World’. It will be available on June 13, allocating what is generated to the War Child beneficial organization.
Some of the names that contribute to this album are Four Tet, of which their particular version of ‘Alone’, Mogwai, Mura Masa, Daniel Avery and Chinese Moreno of Deftones, among others, is already available. In total, the album will include 24 new versions of the songs we already know. Of these, today you can hear the kinematic version of ‘I Can Never Say Goodbye’, by Paul Oakenfold.
«Just after Christmas, they sent me a couple of unreasonable remixes from ‘Songs of a Lost World’ and I loved them. The Cure has a colorful story with all kinds of dance music and was curious how the entire album reinterpreted by other artists would sound, ”said Smith, who turns 66 today.
