Florence + The Machine will perform “Lungs” with a full orchestra

Florence + The Machine has announced a very special concert in London, the only one he will perform in the UK this entire year. In it she will perform her entire album “Lungs” with full orchestra.

It will be a unique opportunity that has been given shape thanks to the BBC Proms, a series of concerts organized by the network and in which Florence Welch will present her entire album “Lungs”, originally published on July 6, 2009. But she will not be alone on stage, nor simply with a band, but she will recover that classic album in a special concert with a full orchestra. But to live the experience we will have to wait until September 11.

The performance will take place on September 11 at the Royal Albert Hall, London and will be the only presence on stage of Florence + The Machine in the United Kingdom for the remainder of 2024. Presumably at some point we will be able to hear the full performance and enjoy singles of the caliber of “Dog Days Are Over “, “Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up)”, “You've Got The Love” or “Cosmic Love”.

BBC Proms will be a total of eight weeks of concerts between July 9 and September 14 and will feature a long list of classical and contemporary music concerts, among which not only does this Florence + The Machine show fit, but also an orchestral show will be held with repertoire from the ill-fated Nick Drake (July 24), a performance by Jordan Rakei with the Royal Northern Sinfonia or an orchestral concert with Sam Smith reviewing his hits.
