Among the artists releasing music today is FLETCHER. The New Jersey superstar, author of million-dollar hits on streaming platforms such as ‘Undrunk’, is preparing the launch of her second studio album. ‘In Search of the Antidote’ comes out March 22.
After ‘Eras of Us’, a song, yes, inspired by Taylor Swift’s tour, FLETCHER delivers an even better single. ‘Lead Me On’ showcases Cari Elise Fletcher’s dramatic side in a rock banger that harks back to the beginnings of Kelly Clarkson and Avril Lavigne. Vocally, Fletcher shines like never before, delivering a melody just as “tortured” as the lyrics.
Because if there is one thing rock knows how to do like few other musical genres, it is to convey the sensation of torment that love relationships can be. In ‘Lead Me On’ FLETCHER chases her loved one, but she continues to run away. “I was born to love you, you were born free and wild,” she sings. FLETCHER has no choice but to drag himself along, begging the person he loves to “guide” him wherever he is. He prefers that I give him crumbs to “nothing at all.”
We remind you that FLETCHER will present ‘In Search of the Antidote’ in Spain next April, also after having expanded venues. The dates are April 3 at the Palacio de Vistalegre in Madrid and April 4 at the Sant Jordi Club in Barcelona.
FLETCHER has recently made headlines for revealing that he has contracted Lyme disease, which is why his current tour has moved from 2023 to 2024.
