FKA twigs cancels Primavera Sound, announcing schedules

Primavera Sound reports today on various news regarding stages, updates and schedules. Firstly, and as those responsible for it advanced in our podcast, there will be a tribute to Steve Albini on one of the stages.

The Steve Albini Stage, located in front of the Plenitude stage, will be the tribute to what is considered “an irreplaceable member of the Primavera family”, although the press release adds “in reality he will be honored in every corner of the Parc del Fòrum, in every second of the festival. On Thursday at 6:55 p.m., when Shellac's performance was scheduled, Albini's new album, 'To All Trains', will be played on that stage.

Additionally, some cancellations, confirmations and changes are announced. FKA twigs “postpones until the next edition of the festival”, we understand that in 2025. We understand that when her new album is less green. Daniela Lalita, Milo J and Sandwell District also cancel. Amaarae will move from Saturday to Thursday.

And numerous names are added: Alcalá Norte (Saturday June 1, 1:15, Steve Albini), Legowelt (Saturday June 1, 4:30, Plenitude), Mabel (Friday May 31, 11:25 pm, Pull&Bear), nusar3000 (Friday, May 31, 6:00 p.m., Plenitude), Princess Superstar (Saturday, June 1, 11:00 p.m., Steve Albini) and Snow Strippers (Friday, 31, 11:55 p.m., Warehouse by DICE).

The schedules are also available on the website and in the APP. On Thursday Vampire Weekend will perform coinciding with the end of Amaarae and almost all of Beth Gibbons. Pulp, Deftones and yeule will perform at the same time. Roosevelt matches Sofia Kourtesis (and Lolahol), and Justice matches Peggy Gou.

On Friday Lana del Rey will overlap with Rels B… and with Jessica Pratt at the Auditori. On Saturday, the fans of PJ Harvey and La Zowi are sure to be very diverse, but not so much those of SZA and Romy, who will perform at midnight. Alcalá Norte have been scheduled at the same time as Róisín Murphy.
