The singer and multidisciplinary artist FKA TWIGS has officially withdrawn the demand for physical aggression and sexual abuse that he presented against his ex -partner, actor Shia Laboouf, in 2020.
According to judicial documents, the complaint was dismissed “with detriment”, which prevents it from being submitted again in the future. The original demand accused Laboou of physical violence, emotional abuse and deliberate transmission of a sexually transmitted disease. Twigs, whose real name is Tahliah Barnett, claimed that the actor was “a danger to women” and detailed serious incidents during his relationship.
Both parties have agreed to a confidential extrajudicial agreement. In a joint declaration of their legal representatives, they said: “committed to advancing constructively, we have agreed to resolve the case outside the courts. We want the personal welfare and professional success of the other.”
Laboouf has repeatedly denied all accusations. The trial, initially scheduled for November 2023, was postponed several times due to disputes between the parties.
FKA TWIGS published in January of this year his acclaimed Eusexua album.
