Miley Cyrus has announced that his ninth album, ‘Subthing Beautiful’, will be put on sale on May 30. The repertoire of ‘Something Beautiful’ consists of 13 original tracks written by Miley Cyrus and supervised by Shawn Everett and Cyrus in the role of executive producers. On the cover of ‘Something Beautiful’, Miley Cyrus wears a 1997 Thierry Mugler suit.
The Popstar has also launched a trailer that represents the first real look at the music and the visual world that will come out in ‘Something Beautiful’. Although there has been no detail of the plot, Cyrus appears walking between studies and film sets while wearing several Mugler outfits, Alexander McQueen and Jean-Paul Gaultier. The visual album, directed by Miley, will arrive in Cinemas in June.
The music, on the other hand, seems to continue due to the rock aesthetics that Cyrus already previously explored in ‘Plastic Hearts’, judging by the different snippets that follow each other in the clip. “An unparalleled pop opera” or “a unique visual experience fed fantasy” are some of the promises that appear in the trailer.
The last launch of Miley Cyrus has been ‘Beautiful that way’, a ballad written for the soundtrack of ‘The Last Showgirl’ (2025). ‘Beautiful That Way’ has meant for Miley Cyrus and for one of her co-authorras, Lykke Li, Golden Globe nominations.
The first information assured that ‘Something Beautiful’ is a “conceptual” album inspired by the ‘The Wall’ (1979) film by Pink Floyd, but taken to the pop world of Miley Cyrus. The album tries to “portray a sick culture through music,” according to Italian film director Panos Cosmatos, who has created the visual part of the project.
An album that promises to be “as musical as visual”, ‘Something Beautiful’ will also propose an “experimental but pop” sound. According to Cyrus, “the visual component” of ‘Something Beautiful’ “conducts the sound” and the album explores themes such as love, destruction or death “in a beautiful way.”
‘Endless Summer Vacation’, the previous Miley Cyrus album, was positioned in the 11th place of the best -selling discs of 2023 in the world, a relatively good data, because the album contained the most successful song of all that year, number 1, ‘Flowers’.
