First confirmations for the Purple Weekend Estrella Galicia

The 35th anniversary of the festival, which will take place between December 5 and 8 in León, will host performances by The Lemon Twigs (in the photo), Bad Nerves, Fuzztones, Doctor Explosion either Alcala North inter alia.

A new edition of the Purple Weekend Estrella Galicia is underway, on what will be its 35th anniversary. An event that will take place from December 5 to 8, days in which León will once again be filled with music and vintage aesthetics, in a year that arrives with news compared to 2023. Thus, the organization has revealed the first artists who will make up the lineup: The Lemon Twigs, Bad Nerves, The Fuzztones, Alcala North, Sharp Class and Doctor ExplosionIn the DJs section you will find Andy Smith, Raissa Pardini, Schaeffer McLean and Andy Lewis.

The stages will be spread across different locations such as the Palacio de Exposiciones or the Sala Glam Theatre, in a year in which the one located in Espacio Vías will be recovered. The first of the festival’s nights will be held there on December 5, the day on which the festival will take place. ‘Revival 77 & New Punk‘, which commemorates the 45th anniversary of the “London Calling” of The Clash and where you can enjoy punk from Bad Nervesthe mod revival of Sharp Class and one of the sensations of the moment in Spain, such as the people of Madrid Alcala North.

On Friday 6th, Espacio Vías will once again be the stage for the performance of Doctor Explosionin a special concert to celebrate the 30th anniversary of his album “Living without civilizing” which will feature special guests. Next up will be the turn of garage-punk The Fuzztoneswhich will be the band’s only date in Spain to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their album “Lysergic Emanations”.

Friday’s day of the Purple Weekend Estrella Galicia will feature the celebration of “Northern Soul Ballroom at The Glam Theatre”an event that will take place thanks to the collaboration with the UK venue Bristol Northern Soul Club. As for Saturday, December 7, the presence of the Americans has been revealed The Lemon Twigswho, after their successful visit to the peninsula just a few months ago, will be performing at the Palacio de Congresos y Exposiciones de León. The entire programme will be complemented by the DJs who will participate in the Alldayers & Allnightersas well as with activities such as the scooter run, the vintage market, the sixties fashion show or the various exhibitions.

Organized by the León City Council and the León Gothic Center, Purple Weekend Estrella Galicia The event is produced by Masgalicia and sponsored by Estrella Galicia. Tickets are available at Ataquilla, MarcaEntradas and Ticketmaster, in two versions: Early Bird at a price of 65 euros –which gives access to all the concerts on Friday and Saturday, as well as to the parallel activities, but which does not include the concerts at the Espacio Joven Vías or the Sala Glam Theatre– and 35° Aniversario at a cost of 100 euros, which gives access to all the concerts on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at Espacio Joven Vías and at the Palacio de Congresos y Exposiciones, as well as to all the activities, but which does not include those held at the Sala Glam Theatre. Likewise, a general ticket is also available for Thursday 5 December at a price of 20 euros.
