Finalists of the 13th edition of Rockein

The final of Rockein It will take place on Saturday, November 1, at the Social Antzokia de Basauri, with footnotes and free access.

We already know the six bands that will participate in the final of the thirteenth edition of the Band Contest Rockeinwill take place on Saturday, November 1, at the Social Antzokia de Basauri. The three candidate proposals to take the main prize are the Gipuzkoan band Azeituna with bones (electronics, pop, jazz); The Biscay trio Keax (former components of The Owl Project with influences such as LCD Soundsystem or Ratatat); and Reeleran alternative rock quartet formed by musicians from Bizkaia, Poland and Ireland, based in Bilbao.

The other three finalist bands, which will qualify for Hego Uribe, who rewards those projects with at least a member registered in Basauri, Arrigorriaga, Etxebarri, Galdakao, Ugao-Miraballes, USANSOLO OR ZATIMO, will be Jaimones (70s-80s American rock quartet that has a Basauri component); Kruddöa duo of hard rock and stoner, composed of the Bermeano Jon Ander Santamaría and by Txaber Miravalles, a native of Etxebarri; and Silkata trio of indie rock with musicians from Bilbao and Galdakao and influences of The Cure or Radiohead.

Access to the room will be free (with an invitation to withdraw in socialantzokia.eus or at the box office of the Social Antzokia starting at 12 noon today) and the theater localities will be standing. As usual, the identity of the winning projects of the 5 categories of Rockein (including those of the Bizkaia award, best artist in Euskara and the Eskarabillera award) will be announced directly by the jury after the final.

On June 26, the registration period for the thirteenth edition of Rockein, the musical contest addressed to soloists and bands of Euskadi and Navarra, organized by the City of Basauri, was closed with the collaboration of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia. 196 artists have been registered, marking a new Rockein participation record for the tenth consecutive year.

The professional jury of this 2025 edition of Rockein composes it: Arantzazu Pinto ‘Nara’ (Hiring of artists in Spring Sound), Jon Agirrezabalaga (producer and sound engineer at the Tigre Studios (Bilbao). Musician and composer in Zabala), Ibone Iiz Euskal Herria and La Rioja of Mondosonoro magazine, promoter and DJ) and Jon Zugazagoitia (Councilor for Youth, Sports and Informatics City Hall of Basauri).
