“Fiesta y rebellion”, the definitive oral history of Basque radical rock

In January it will arrive in bookstores nationwide. “Party and rebellion. Oral history of Basque radical rock”a book written by Javier “Jerry” Corral and what the publisher will publish Liburuak.

“Party and rebellion. Oral history of Basque radical rock” There will be eight hundred pages of, as the subtitle of the book says, an oral history in which more than seventy of the protagonists of what was Basque radical rock are interviewed, a movement that revolutionized the rock scene of Euskal Herria first and of the rest of the peninsula later. Thus, Javier “Jerry” Corral – a journalist who you can read in media such as MondoSonoro or Rockdelux, as well as listen to on different radio stations – interviews leading protagonists of the phenomenon, covering their origins, rise, fall and even the legacy of those days .

Among those interviewed we will find great protagonists such as Evaristo Premos, Pako Eskorbuto, Fermín Muguruza, Roberto Moso, Loles Vulpes, Kaki Arkarazo, Niko MCD –author of the cover–, Jimi Tijuana In Blue, Josu Zabala Hertzainak, Pedro Espinosa Potatoetc., to contemporaries of other scenes, such as Mikel Erentxun, Anjel Valdés, Xabier Montoia, Edu Basterra, Iñaki Antón “Uoho”, Francis Dr. Deseo or Rafa Balmaseda. Also musicians prior to the phenomenon (Ruper Ordorika, Anje Duhalde Errobi, Fran Lasuen Oskorri)later (Anari, Gonzalo Ibáñez NCC, Juancar Parlange Los Clavos, Alex Sardui Gatibu, Petti,…) and current (Verde Prato, Chill Mafia, Vulk, Belako, Tatxers). There is no shortage of journalists here either. (Pablo Cabeza, Iñaki Zarata, Gregorio Gálvez, Roge Blasco, Pedro Elías Igartua, Gotzon Hermosilla…) or from outside (Jesús Ordovás, Jaime Gonzalo, Carlos Tena,…)the writers (Kirmen Uribe, Fermin Etxegoien, Alvaro Heras, Elena López Aguirre), sociologists (Josu Larrinaga) and promoters (Marino Goñi, Jabi de Basati, Oskar Amézaga, Servando Carballar). And also Spanish musicians of the time such as Ramoncín, Julián Siniestro Total, Morfi Grei from La Banda Trapera, Manolo UVI or Manel Decibelios.
