fiddlehead They are back. The Americans have launched “Baby I’ll Change”a new three-song EP via Run For Cover Records.
This is Fiddlehead’s first unreleased material since “Death Is Nothing To Us” (23), the album that closed a trilogy marked by the reflections of its vocalist, Patrick Flynnabout the loss of his father and his experience as a family man.
The group has always approached each release as if it could be the last, so much so that they were about to stop their activity after their third album, considering that the project had already fulfilled its purpose. But a new personal episode reawakened his need to create, when Flynn, in the fall of 2024, lost his mother while his family was traveling. A few days later, the guitarist Alex Henery and the bassist Nick Hinsch They traveled by surprise to accompany him during his mourning, and what began as a visit between friends ended up becoming a writing session that gave rise to the songs on Baby I’ll Change.
The new EP has been produced by Alex Farrarand represents an evolution in the band’s sound, exploring new nuances without abandoning the emotional intensity and energy that characterize their live performances. The single “Baby I’ll Change”, now available on digital platforms, shows that new direction starting with a simple guitar line and a delicate vocal performance, leading to a highly intense ending.
After the release of the EP, Fiddlehead will continue their live activity with a tour planned for 2026 which will include concerts in the United Kingdom, Europe and North America. You can find more information at this link.
