Exhibition of musical illustrations by Marc Bello

The Barcelona illustrator Marc Belloauthor of some recent special covers of MondoSonoro – without going any further, that of Carolina Durante of this January issue, or that of Cala Vento from the previous year–, shows part of his musical work dedicated to groups and artists at the Café La Palma in Madrid. It can be seen between the January 8 (opens at 8:30 p.m.) and February 2.

“Illustrated Soundtrack” It is a small selection of a project still in progress that the artist started just a year ago. Marc set out to publish every Friday on his Instagram a digital illustration of an artist or band that would be part of his personal soundtrack. He ended up making fifty-three illustrations, which will be part of a very limited edition book. The one by Carolina Durante on our cover was not an original part of the series.

The artist assures that what was going to be a “quick project that didn’t take me much time” became “complicated” until we got here. Linked in recent years to the publishing world (he collaborates in the newspaper La Vanguardia), in the music industry he has done work for artists as different as Second, Revolver, Christina Rosenvinge, Carmen Boza, Miguel Bosé or Trianaamong others. Admission to his exhibition in the Madrid room is free. More information in this same link.
