More than twenty years after their first collaboration (“Poetas”), the Andalusians Foreshortening and the Argentines Bersuit Vergarabat They work together again. This time, they bring us together the reinterpretation of one of the most beloved songs of the Granada group: “La Pena”. A new version that abandons the hard-hitting sound of the original, but embraces that background of loss, attachment and broken hearts, transforming it into a bolero. With a melancholic sound, “La Pena” now returns with more pause and depth.
This song is part of the project with which Foreshortening They will celebrate their three decades of experience. “La Pena” perfectly represents the spirit of their new album: songs that change their skin, but not their essence. They will be pieces reinterpreted from artistic maturity and the desire to celebrate what has been experienced. The album for its thirtieth anniversary, which will be released in 2026will have collaborators like those already mentioned Bersuit Vergarabat, but also with Chambao, Albert Pla or Macacoamong others.
