The photo of Guitarricadelafuente showing the roja of the ass at the end was the cover of his new single, ‘Full Time Papi’, which can be heard from today Friday, February 21. ‘Full Time Papi’ is the first advance of the second guitarricadelafuente album, which is published in 2025 on a date still to be determined, by the hand of Sony Music.
‘Full Time Papi’ is an unclassifiable production of a new folk – for calling it in some way – that mixes a variety of instruments such as organ, piano, strings or even an accordion with urculent urban beats and psychedelic effects. A SZA producer, Carter Lang; A producer of Kendrick Lamar, Jasper Harris, and a name that you know if you have been attentive to the national pop of recent years, that of PabloPablo.
The result is one of the most original songs of the year. The title promises, but music is even more unpredictable. Only the post-stribe “I want to be your full time dad” sung chorus makes sense in the wonderful absurd of the song.
Then, the lyrics leave a bouquet of poetic phrases that revolve around eroticism and sexual liberation, with mentions of the “Argentine trap” and a “love of postmodernity.” All this culminates in a chorus that expresses the drive that is born when it is subject to desire, and to wish the other, in turn: “It is not so badly chasing my tail, I get out of Blacar, to see if you give me a ball.”
According to the official press release, «the song explores the romantic yearning, identity and desire for connection and devotion in an era in which everything seems fleeting. It moves through pleasure and fear, control and surrender, evoking a masculinity not defined by domain but by a change towards devotion, loyalty and protection. More than a reflection on the cycles of love and desire, it is about deciding to enter them fully, get carried away by intensity in search of something real ».
The ‘Full Time Papi’ video clip arrives so loaded with eroticism that it can only be seen directly on YouTube. The metaphor of crawling through the mud is very successful, although there is above all there is a lot of skin, a lot of ass, a lot of arm, a lot of daddy. Troye Sivan likes this.
