Eric Clapton returns to Spain after 22 years of waiting

After more than 20 years of waiting, Eric Clapton announced this weekend his return to the Spanish stage. They will be two unique shows in our country: next May 7 at the Movistar Arena in Madrid and May 10 at the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona.

Tickets go on sale this Wednesday, October 22 at 10:00 a.m. on Live Nation, Ticketmaster and El Corte Inglés. However, there is a pre-sale starting today, Monday, October 20 at 10:00 in the morning on Live Nation – S.SMUSIC. The Live Nation pre-sale starts today at 12 noon. Tickets can be purchased from €45 plus expenses onwards.

El País remembers that the last time Eric Clapton played in Spain was at the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona, ​​in March 2004, when he was 59 years old. More than 22 years will have passed, therefore, next May.

Eric Clapton’s last studio album so far was called ‘Meanwhile’ and was released last year. It presented 9 advance singles of the 14 pieces it included. However, their recent concert in New York has been generous in Cream versions, more covers and classics like ‘Tears in Heaven’.
