Fit2 brings together six new proposals to “continue exploring the most unique territories of current music.” The cycle comes to an end sixteenth edition between September and December.
The Jovellanos Theater in Gijón will once again host a new edition of Encaja2, a cycle, promoted by Divertia Gijón, reaches its sixteenth season, becoming one of the most recognizable cultural initiatives in the city and a reference space for artists and audiences interested in close listening formats and musical experiences far from conventional circuits.
And the truth is that the selection of artists is very worthwhile. We will be able to see Ricardo Lezonalso known for being a vocalist of McEnroewho will open the programming on September 27. From there, the protagonists will be Dam (September 29)the Galician duo Caamaño & Ameixeiras (October 11)the psychedelia and experimental rock band Mohama Saz (October 30)the very delicate Catalan duo L’arannà (November 29) and this sixteenth season will conclude on December 1 with Vincent Bestavenmusician and creator whose work moves between sound research, tradition and experimentation.
Throughout these years, Encaja2 has developed its own identity based on the proximity between performers and spectators, the careful artistic selection and the generation of a valuable audiovisual archive that documents some of the most relevant proposals of the independent and contemporary creation scene. The new season keeps that philosophy intact with a program that will once again bring together in the Jovellanos Theater stage box six projects of diverse origins and languages, united by a personal look at musical creation.
With this new edition, Encaja2 reaffirms its commitment to the dissemination of quality artistic proposals and to the creation of a privileged space for listening, keeping intact the philosophy that has made the cycle a reference within the cultural programming of the Jovellanos Theater.
