La Paloma publish its second album, ‘A blow of luck’, under the umbrella of Universal. But Lucas Sierra, Nico Yubero and Juan Rojo maintain the same concerns as when they began, if with a more melodic sound. ‘Elegant’, which is defined as “the most pop theme” of an album that they have also advanced ‘If I don’t move’ and ‘I know what I want’, it is the song of the day.
The arpegios, the acoustic guitars and a rested atmosphere are the main elements of ‘elegant’. This is far from distortion and feedback from its first works, opting for an inevitably more pop sound. However, the group located in Tetuán is still able to build hymns to the disenchantment of the 21st century.
‘Elegant’ is a concatenation of statements with which anyone can feel identified, such as “I want to have endurance and not a constant tiredness” or “I want to smoke enough without thinking about dying.” Very similar to the list of things that they hate of ‘the age I am’, but with a final turn: “I just want to have you in front.”
‘A blow of luck’ will be available on October 3. We leave you with the dates of your tour. Details, on your website.
