The Romanian festival Electric Castle has been one of the first European festivals that reconfirms Queens Of The Stone Ageafter the band canceled its 2024 concerts in much of Europe.
It will be a pleasure for fans of the band led by Josh Homme to be able to return to Queens Of The Stone Age on European stages, even if we have to wait until July of next year. It is great news that Homme has been able to recover to return to the stage. In any case, they will not be the only ones joining the festival lineup.
And the Electric Castle has announced part of the lineup of its eleventh edition, to be held again in the vicinity of Transylvania Banffy Castle a few kilometers from Cluj (Romania)between the July 16 and 20, 2025.
The most important festival in the country returns recharged, recovering Queens Of The Stone Age and also announcing Justin Timberlake, Justice, Bicep (presenting his show “Chroma”)Shaggy, Refused, Sofi Tukker, Noga Erez, Nilüfer Yanya either The Sisters Of Mercy.
Highlighted by a curatorship that gravitates towards a most eclectic lineup, Electric Castle has become the top reference among the country’s festivals thanks also to an infrastructure that generated awards at the European level. Ten stages, some framed in forests and different spaces of the castle, an extra leisure offer with all kinds of activations and facilities – from surprise concerts, expos and independent fashion market to bungee jumping, including hot air balloon rides and a club live comedy – and the incomparable landscape of the Somesul Valley area, are some of the aspects that make it unique. To this we must add a camping area with capacity for fifteen thousand people and several accommodation options.
