Dorian are finishing off a new album called ‘Futuros imposibles’, which they will release after the summer, next October. A few months ago they released a song called ‘Algo Especial’ in which they talked about the personal separation between two of their members, the leaders Marc and Belly, and now they are releasing a song called ‘El Sur’. It is our Song of the Day today.
‘El sur’ is a more guitar-driven song by Dorian’s standards, which has a lot to do with the Santiago Motorizado collaboration on Él Mató a Un Policía Motorizado. If it’s not Dorian’s rock supersong, it could become one live, depending on how far they want to go with those electrics.
We are also facing a song of escape, with a certain “road movie” spirit. A rearview mirror appears in her lyrics, and above all the desire to be far away: “Speed up girl / go full throttle be happy / be happy / I want to run away, I want to run away / I don’t know where we’re going but I know I want to run away.”
The song is presented with a video by Colombian Joaquín Restrepo, who already collaborated with Dorian on ‘Techos de Cristal’. On the other hand, the group celebrates that their hit ‘La tormenta de arena’ has reached 100 million plays on Spotify. It is their biggest hit, far above ‘Cualquier otra parte’.
