Ed Sheeran will return to commercial pop in 2025

Ed Sheeran has announced that he will release a new album in 2025 and that, in it, he will return to the “big pop” of his most successful singles and albums. Speaking to Variety, Sheeran confirmed that he has already recorded two music videos for this project and added that he plans to film two more in early 2025. According to him, a “big promotional campaign” is coming.

Thus, Sheeran will change course to leave behind the poor sales of ‘Subtract’ and ‘Autumn Variations’, his two albums released in 2023, and the least sold of his career. None appeared among the best-selling albums of that year.

Sheeran has just released ‘Under the Tree’, a Christmas song that plays on the soundtrack of the animated film ‘That Christmas’. We remind you that Sheeran has two concerts scheduled at the Cívitas Metropolitano in Madrid in 2025, on May 30 and 31.
