Dua Lipa acquires her publishing rights

Dua Lipa has acquired the publishing rights to her songs, which were in the possession of TaP Music Publishing for a decade, the publishing company that led Dua Lipa’s career from its beginnings in 2013 until 2022. They have not been revealed. too many details of this deal, except that TaP Music Publishing “wishes Dua the best in the future.”

TaP Music Publishing manages artists such as Caroline Polachek, Lana Del Rey and Ellie Goulding. He also managed Dua’s management until his father, Dukagjin Lipa, took over in 2022, when Dua left the company. As for the editorial department of TaP Music Publishing, its clients include Yaeji and Dermot Kennedy.

The news means, of course, that Dua owns the publishing rights to all the songs included on her hit albums ‘Dua Lipa’ (2017) and ‘Future Nostalgia’ (2020), which includes the hits ‘New Rules’, ‘Don’ t Start Now’ or ‘Levitating’. These singles will soon be joined by ‘Houdini’, which comes out on November 9.
