The eighth edition of CRANC Illa de Menorca Festival will take place on the Balearic island between September 26th and 29th with artists like Hinds, Leon Benavente, pablopablo, He Killed a Motorcycle Policeman, Judeline, Women, Hidrogenesse and many more

During those four days in September, the Figuera Cove in Mahon will host performances by all the names mentioned, as well as others such as Josephine Network, SUO, Caballo Prieto Azabache, Los Yolos, Elsa de Alfonso, Boston Babies, Go Cactus, Manners, Mantra, Maria Hein, Aina Losange, Colorado, Dahlia’, HEAL, The Ripples and FEZBritish winners of the call for artists made by the music industry platform BizBat, which had already been confirmed some time ago.

In addition to the performances, there will also be various parallel activities such as parallel events, the Fish & Beats party, a record market or the recording of a podcast. And that is what you can already know, the programming of the Cranc Pro.

Cranc Pro will be divided into two days that can be followed online and for free on Wednesday, September 25 and another in-person session, which can be attended on Thursday, September 26 at the epicentre of the festival, the charming Figuera Cove in Mahon. Thus, the programming will be as follows:

Wednesday 25 September. CRANC PRO online. All panels moderated and/or presented by Ana Espina.

16:30 hours – We want the opinion of the bands! We invited four Balearic bands to talk about the problems they face in order to be able to play, especially outside the islands, and to tell us about their experience at the CRANC Illa de Menorca Festival and other festivals. With: María Florit, Go Cactus, Caspary, Colorado.

17:00 hours – The work of Per la Mar Viva in Menorca and practical advice to protect the Mediterranean Sea. With: Carlos Salord, founder of Per la Mar Viva.

17:30 hours – Latin Flow for the world. We are currently experiencing a boom in the export of Latin music. Can this be applied to all musical genres? Are listeners reflected in ticket sales? With: Manú Charritton (BizBat, Mexico), Mau Mendía (EM Agency, Mexico) and Álvaro Gómez (Algorecords, Chile).

Thursday 26 September – CRANC PRO in person (Cala Figuera, Mahón) All tables moderated and/or presented by Ana Espina.

18:00 hours – Sustainability that sounds. Walking towards the SDGs in the world of live music. With: Rosa Goenechea (Zerostage).

18:20 hours – Menorca promoters: difficulties in programming on an island. With: Carmen Abella (Pedra Viva), Juli Rabal (Jazzbah), Josep Maria Fita (Es Claustre), Dani Herbera (Cranc Illa de Menorca Festival).

18:45 hours – Innovation with identity. How to find the balance between evolution and authenticity in music festivals. With: Tali Carreto (Monkey Week), Manú Charritton (Bizbat), Álvaro Fernández (Canela Party).

19:15 hours – Media and artists. How to avoid being buried in the spam folder? With: Nacho Alvaro (Radio 3).

And let’s not forget the Cranc de Día, which will take place on Saturday, September 28th from 12:00 noon to 19:00 in the afternoonwith free admission and 100% recommended for the most family-oriented audience, we will be able to enjoy eleven showcases and two DJ sessions. On the Radio 3 Stage, Molina, Colorado, HEAL, Boston Babies and Nita Workshopswhile on the boards of the Pomada Stage will be The T-Makers, The Weeds, The Ripples, The Distance, FEZ and Go CactusThe party will be rounded off with the sessions of Diana Groove and Majorica Bitches.
