What was one of the key electro-house groups at the beginning of the century, Digitalism, who with their 2007 album ‘Idealism’ irradiated the stages of half the world with synthesizers and electronic rhythms, later collaborating with artists of the stature of Daft Punk or Depeche Mode, continue their career and this year they will release their fifth album, a work not coincidentally titled ‘Optimism’ that can be heard from May 29.
‘Optimism’ has been released, so far, with two singles. The most recent, released this week, is ‘Golden’, a French House style song but renewed. The first trailer, ‘Space Invaders’, sounded just as euphoric, more dance-rock and nostalgic.
The German duo formed in 2004 by Jens Moelle and İsmail Tüfekçi is still in very good shape, committed to building their own electronic utopia. A utopia that will arrive in Spain, by the way, at the end of the year.
It will be on October 30 at the Wago room in Madrid and on October 31 at the Apolo room in Barcelona when, from Spain, we can listen to the material from ‘Optimism’ live. Both dates are part of a European tour that includes other dates in London, Rome, Amsterdam and Paris.
