Now that the video has come to light, Diddy has published a public apology on his Instagram through a video in which he acknowledges the facts, apologizes to Cassie and assures that, at the time of the events, he was in a dark moment. of their life. “She had hit rock bottom, and I'm not going to make excuses,” he explains. «My behavior in the video is unforgivable. I take full responsibility for my actions in the video. I'm disgusted. “I was then and I am now.”
In the video, Diddy states that, in recent years, he has sought professional help by going to therapy and rehabilitation centers. “I'm very sorry, but I am committed to being a better man every day,” he adds. “I'm not asking you to forgive me, I'm truly sorry.”
Diddy faces multiple accusations of abuse from several people who have been part of his entourage, including Cassie, producer Lil Rod and a multitude of anonymous people. The accusations date back to the 1990s. Diddy is accused of sexual abuse, rape and sex trafficking, among other crimes that authorities continue to investigate.
In March, a police raid was opened on Diddy's two residences in Los Angeles and Miami following accusations made against Diddy in recent months.
