Using the full name again Dexys Midnight Runners, Kevin Rowland and theirs return to the present with “My Life In England Pt. 1”, the first preview of what will be “LOVE”.
Next September 4th it will be released “LOVE”the new album by Dexys Midnight Runners, who recover their full name in this new stage. To present it to society, they have released the single “My Life In England Pt. 1”, which thus becomes the first song that the group publishes in their new home, Heavenly Records. It is a new adaptation of a song that the group included in a compilation in 2003.
It is also the first release since 1985 under the full name of Dexys Midnight Runners. The album will include a total of ten songs, among which are the two parts of “My Life In England” and other songs such as “You’ve Got The Love”, “Once A Man, Twice A Child”, “Strange Feelin'”, “Old Love” or “It’s Over Now”.
Starting in September, there will be several sessions in record stores in the United Kingdom and starting in October the group will go on tour to perform in cities such as Stockholm, Berlin, Paris, Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester, London, Dublin and Belfast. At the moment there are no dates in our country.
Let us remember that Dexys Midnight Runners were formed in Birmingham in 1978 and that they released internationally successful albums such as “Searching For The Young Soul Rebels” (80), “Too-Rye-Ouch” (82) and “Don’t Stand Me Down” (85). Subsequently, Kevin Rowland began a solo career and returned in 2012 at the head of Dexys, publishing “One Day I’m Going To Soar” (12) and “The Feminine Divine” (23).
The group’s current lineup includes Kevin Rowland (voice), Sean Read (keyboards and voices), Mike Timothy (keyboards and voices), Lucy Morgan (violin), Timothy Weller (battery), Janelle Martin (choirs) and Olli Martin (trombone).
